Renault Scenic 1.5 Diesel
I am experiencing problems with my 5 year old Scenic, which I purchased 1 year ago. On driving in gears 2 to 5 the car appears to lose power, stick and then spurt forward. This is very evident on going uphill where the car will go from 70mph to 40mph in 5th gear. Any ideas as to the cause?Gary
Hi Gary,
It could be a number of things I'm afraid...
It could and probably is a fuel related problem, possibly the Fuel Pump - the Fuel Filter or a Fuel dispensing sensor any of these giving problems would have an effect such as you describe.
It could be a Clutch or Gearbox problem though I'm more inclined towards the Fuel problem myself.
I am afraid it's going to mean a trip to your local garage for them to take the car on a test drive or to put it on to a Fault Code Reader, this may have stored the Fault in its memory and should help them be pretty accurate in their diagnosis.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific than this.
Good luck
Regards
Bill
