Vauxhall Vectra

I have a Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 16v P reg.  The remote central locking is not working.  When I point it at the car the remote is working.  Do you know what it could be?

It sounds like either a problem in the door panel or a remote control problem.

Sometimes if the battery in the remote control gets low it can lose its ability to work properly and equally if the battery is changed some Vauxhall remotes need to be re-set.

It can also be a problem with the connections inside the door itself - or with the central locking fuse...have you check the fuses?

Does the central locking work on each door if you use the key (without the remove)?

If it does it will be an electrical problem either with the remote or it's receiver in the door.
